Our Goals
The truth is the most sustainable garments are those that you already have and wear.
Fast fashion has got us used to the idea that clothing can be cheap, which also helps us believe that it’s disposable.
Creating clothing is always going to impact the environment, but it’s about reducing that impact as much as possible. We’ve always sought to produce quality clothing and accessories that last you longer and minimize the need for replacements.
There’s more we can be doing though, so we’ve set actionable goals until 2026 to help us increase our transparency, become a more responsible business, and be part of the change in the menswear industry.
Les Deux Responsibility Goals 2024-2026
- We are planning to implement yearly sustainability reporting by Q2 2025 for the calendar year 2024.
- We’d like to use 70% more responsible cotton in our collections by 2025.
- By 2026, our goal is to have 70% preferred fibers & materials in our products.
- To have a baseline and report on our progress on CO2 emissions, we’re calculating emissions for 2023, and will compare with 2024 emissions. We will then be able to assess how and where we can reduce our climate impact.
- We want to achieve full transparency on Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers by 2026.
- We’ll continuously and actively investigate the possibility of implementing innovative circular fibers within our clothing and aim to incorporate pieces made of circular fibers by 2026.
- To strengthen our collaboration with our suppliers, we’ll create a supplier assessment system. This will allow them to give us feedback on where we can improve.
- Our ambition is to relaunch our resale platform, ReWear, by Q1 of 2025.
- We currently request recycled materials in the packaging we order, and our goal is to reach, document, and sustain 100% recycled packaging by 2026.
- As of June 2024, we’ve conducted surveys to see where we can improve our employee motivation. We’ve acted on the results with leadership workshops and additional training, and plan to continue surveying employees on a biannual basis.
- As a result of surveying and internal analysis, we’ve identified three core values of what motivates our employees, whichis what informs the initial phase of our recruitment and retention strategy. We value personalities and potential as much as talent, so our goal is to expand on this with a complete, data-driven strategy by 2026.
- By 2026, we intend to conduct yearly reporting on our internal culture.
